About the Event
The Making Waves Book Club provides an opportunity to delve into complex topics and have inter-generational discussions to learn from and listen to and share different perspectives in order to hone our skills in order to speak up. With Samra Habib's book, our third book written by a Canadian woman of colour, we will learn about refugees making a new life in Canada, the challenges Samra experienced, and how she was finally able to find and express her true self.
